About Us





Jacqueline Hogan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) possessing credentials in both Kansas and Missouri.  She is also a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Jacqueline brings 17 years of counseling experience to the practice. She utilizes her adept clinical counseling knowledge to offer clients a unique perspective of problem solving.

Professional History
Prior to private practice, Jacqueline served in several diverse and highly challenging environments as a Clinical Case Manager, Mental Health Specialist, workshop facilitator, consultant and Family Support Advocate.  Jacqueline has provided extensive counseling to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, groups and families.

Clinical Experience and Areas of Expertise
Jacqueline's clinical experience includes outpatient behavioral health settings, treatment and counseling agencies, at-risk adolescent group homes, residential facilities, early head start, special needs preschool and private practice.  Her clients range from expecting mothers, children/youth in state custody, women & children who have been abused and victimized as well as children/families coping with a diagnosed developmental disorder.  Jacqueline's areas of focus and expertise includes: Depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, post-traumatic stress and life coaching.

Educational Background
Jacqueline earned a Masters in Social Welfare from The University of Kansas and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wichita State University.  Jacqueline also continues to enhance her expertise and clinical skills by frequently attending continuing education workshops and biblical education programs to enhance her ability to counsel from a Christian perspective.

Jerald Payne is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) licensed to practice in Kansas & Missouri. Jerald began his therapy career in 1998 and is currently in private practice at Payne, Hogan & Associates, with offices in Kansas and Missouri. He brings a plethora of clinical knowledge and expertise to the clients of Payne, Hogan & Associates.

Professional History
Jerald provides clinical supervision to entry level social workers/therapists preparing for independent clinical licensure.  He was a field instructor for graduate students obtaining their Masters in Social Work at the University of Kansas, School of Social Welfare.  As a clinical consultant, he has provided guidance and training to foster care agencies and the State of Missouri  on children and adolescent diagnoses, parenting abused/traumatized children and implementing appropriate, effective behavior modification techniques for both home and school environments.
Jerald Payne is one of the founding members of the Metropolitan Association of African American Psychotherapists, which specializes in community education and community service projects serving inner city youth and families in the metropolitan Kansas City area.

Clinical Experience and Areas of Expertise
Jerald specializes in children and adolescent treatment services addressing such issues as anger management, drug/alcohol abuse, gang affiliation, truancy, theft, depression, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, sexual and physical abuse victims and offenders.  He also provides guidance to parents on parent-child relational issues, communication skill development and behavior modification.  Jerald counsels individuals, couples and families facing anxiety disorders, grief/loss and struggles with adjusting to life circumstances.
Educational Background
Jerald Payne received his Bachelor in Pre-Law/Interdisciplinary Social Sciences (Psychology concentration) from Kansas State University in 1992, and his Masters in Social Work (Clinical) from the University of Kansas in 1998.
